Basic Pistol Classroom
Start with essential firearm safety, basic operation, and handling techniques in a classroom-only session. This session is required before attending the range.
Basic Pistol Range Time
Once you’ve completed the classroom session, it’s time to put your knowledge into practice in a live-fire range session focused on safe handling and marksmanship.

Book both Classroom and Range Time on the same day to complete your training in one go! Or, schedule them separately to fit your schedule.
Basic Pistol CLASSROOM & Range Time
Get the full training experience in one comprehensive session. We begin in the classroom, where you’ll build a solid foundation of safety, firearm operation, and essential marksmanship skills. Then we take everything you’ve learned straight to the range for hands-on, live-fire practice with guided coaching.

RANGE TIME
Students will also perform live-fire exercises learning the basics of handling and shooting your firearm accurately. Although using your own firearm is highly recommended. Please let us know if you need to use a firearm for this class. If you have your own firearm, please bring 100 cartridges to complete the class.
CLASS TIME
This class is taught to hundreds of students a year in California. Students will learn Rifle types, operation, maintenance, ammunition fundamentals, grip, stance, aiming, trigger control, breathing, and follow-through.
ABOUT
This class prepares new shooters to become comfortable with their firearms. It is also a required class to become an NRA Basic Rifle Instructor.

What TO BRING
Eye and Ear Protection
it’s best to have over-the-ear protection. If you wear glasses then that is fine for eye protection, but its still better to bring some.
Firearms and ammunition
sack lunch, Snacks, & drinks if desired
town isnt very far from the range but it is still easier to bring food.
Clothing Requirements
• Baseball cap if needed
• closed-toed shoes (crocks do not count as close toed)
• No V-necks or tank tops

I DON'T HAVE A FIREARM CAN I STILL TAKE A CLASS?
Yes! You can start with Step 1: Basic PISTOL Classroom, where you'll learn about different firearm types, safety, and handling. You’ll also have the opportunity to handle (but not fire) ours to help you decide what works best for you. We’ll guide you through the purchasing process, and once you have your firearm, you can return for Step 2: Basic PISTOL Range Time, where we’ll help you build confidence and skills with your new gun.
DO I NEED AMMO?
Yes, Karen WILL NOT have ammo packages available during this course.
